Burrlephant - Jerry McFarland

Wow Jerry’s work on his Burrlephant is really amazing!  Jerry spends an inordinate amount of time with his buffing process and displays brilliantly!

If you ever get a chance to snag one consider yourself fortunate!

Here’s Jerry’s description with history of the ‘Burrlephant’:

“Version 1 (2007) evolved by by making additions to my 1997 4x4 puzzle and prototyping the head with plastic blocks.

It was modeled after the ‘Kumiki elephant’.  I only made a few since it was too easy to take apart.  Version 2 (2016) was very difficult to take apart but was overly complicated and since it had a jamming problem I only sold a few, then gave up on it and moved to other things.

Version 3 (2020) is the latest and best version.

The goal is to remove the brass ball but there are 4 different challenges to complete first.  It consists of 27 wood pieces, Jatoba, Bloodwood, Bubinga and Ebony, 15 magnets, 5 metal pins and a brass ball.”
