Cell Block by Bill Cutler - Laser Cut by Walter Hoppe

I was particularly surprised by the size of this awesome puzzle, typically laser cut puzzles tend to be in the smaller size but this one is comparable to burr puzzles handcrafted these days.  My copy is made from Cherry with an overall size of 3-3/8”.

Here’s Bill’s description:

“My second 'plate burr' design. The puzzle has 12 pieces laser cut from maple by Walter Hoppe.

I named it "Cell Block" because it reminds me of the federal prison in downtown Chicago (see bottom photo).

This was my souvenir puzzle at the 34th International Puzzle Party.”
