Draco by Alfons Eyckmans

I recently acquired this puzzle from fellow Canadian puzzler Yvon and it’s another awesome puzzle by Alfons from 2011, while my copy is dated 2013.

It’s a very difficult puzzle to disassemble as it requires moving pieces from every direction with the odd strange move that seems to defy logic!

Here’s a description from Puzzle Place:

“Alfons Eyckmans designed at least four similar puzzles. Scorpio and Virgo, published in Puzzle Will be Played are level 11 and 12 respectively. Pavo was was level 22.

Draco is the highest level of the series 18 pieces with an astounding move count of 31.3.4.3.2.3.2.1.1.2.1.2

A property of tri-dimentional puzzles made of boards is that since each piece has a symmetry plane, each solution can be mirrored.”
