Juno’s Boxy Twins - Junichi Yananose - 1998 - Crafted by Taichi Tuchiya - Arranged by Hiroshi Iwahara

I was elated to have acquired these very early Juno puzzles as they are from a bygone era long before his current puzzles were being offered at Pluredro.

As an update I heard back from Juno regarding this post and he wrote the following:

“By the way, two types of Boxy Twins puzzles on your blog were made by Taichi Tuchiya in Odawara, Japan. Juno and Tsuchiya had never met, but thanks to Hiroshi Iwahara's arrangement, the collaboration was realized and the products were sold. You can enjoy Tsuchiya's detailed works on his blog.”

Each piece features 2 two unit pieces attached with some clever dowel joinery.

I acquired these two copies from a long time puzzle collector with one copy came with a nicely made Pine Box with Oak (stained) Pieces.

The second copy came in a plastic case with Oak Pieces.

There’s many more shapes that these pieces can be assembled into as well, I added photos that show them.

Here’s Juno’s description from his previous website:

“All pieces have two dicube. The goal of this puzzle is to make cuboid. (3*4*4, 2*4*6, 2*3*8)”
