I was recently asked by a fellow puzzler to make a box to house a pair of cube puzzles and I thought maybe I should do a post showing how I go about making my puzzle boxes.
Initial sleeve assembly glued up
Exterior box glued up
Slipfeathers added to exterior
Box & Lid after triple buffing
- The sleeve is Roasted Ash
- The Box exterior is Roasted Bird’s Eye Maple
- Edging is Walnut
- Slipfeathers are Wenge
- Bottom is Mahogany
- Top is Purpleheart
